PHOENIX, Arizona – April 11, 2006 – The United Blood Services will host a blood drive on GateWay Community College’s campus Tuesday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The blood donations will help Valley patients as well as assist in the advancement of medical research. Arizona patients require eight blood donors every 15 minutes. It is estimated that 60 percent of the population will need blood or blood components sometime during their lives. Unfortunately, only 1 in 20 people regularly donate blood.
You can join the effort to save lives by donating blood April 18. The Blood Mobile will be located near College Safety which is on the east side of campus, centrally located between the main and health care buildings.
