GATEWAY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OFFERS WOMEN’S HEALTH COURSE 

PHOENIX, Arizona – February 22, 2006 – GateWay Community College today announced it will offer a Women’s Health course this spring for interested individuals. The 3-credit course begins on March 21.

Course Details:

• WST286 – Women and Health: The Body/Mind/Spirit Connection
• Late Start Class – March 21
• Tuesday/Thursday, 6:00 – 8:45pm

Course Topics:

• Economic, sociopolitical, and demographic factors affecting women’s health.
• Methods for optimizing physical, emotional, and spiritual health.  
• Specific health concerns of women throughout the lifespan. 
• Activism for health promotion.

Childcare and financial aid is available to those who qualify. Registration can be completed in-person, on the phone, by fax or mail or at www.gatewaycc.edu on the Web. Tuition is $60 per credit hour for Maricopa County residents, tuition and fees subject to terms and changes.

GateWay is located at 40th Street and Washington in Phoenix.
