PHOENIX, Arizona (November 9, 2006) – GateWay Community College today announced that registration is open for the 2007 spring semester at GateWay Community College – most classes begin the 3rd week of January.
New programs for spring semester include a 9-month Residential Air Conditioning program designed to rapidly advance the careers of students interested in a career in HVAC. Additionally, GateWay has added 2 new classes in electronic gaming design (video games). Other programs available include closed captioning, medical transcription and health care programs such as medical management.
Another new offering for students this year is a dedicated ESL Center, designed to assist ESL students as they begin coursework at the college level – whether they are seeking language skills only, or a degree or certificate.
GateWay offers over 100 certificate, associate degree and university transfer programs including programs in Health Science, Nursing, Math/Science, Industrial Technology, Business and Computers, and Liberal Arts.
As a resource to current or potential students, GateWay Community College has made available program and career guides, course catalogs and current class schedules, which offer detailed information on how to get started, the job outlook, and description of each program offered at GateWay. Tuition is $65 per credit hour. Childcare and financial aid are available to those who qualify. Registration can be completed in-person, on the phone, by fax or mail or on the Web. GateWay is located at 40th Street and Washington in Phoenix near Sky Harbor airport
